About Us

Our club is active in the community. For example, Each year we contribute funds towards the food bank,  two bursaries to the school district for student performance, plus our open to the public pig roast associated with Lumby Days. We also make available our tables and chairs to like organizations situated in our community.

We have for over 15 years held an event called Fishing Foreverâ„¢, where we host a fishing event at Mabel Lake Provincial Park for approximately one hundred physically and mentally challenged people and their caregivers. We hope, by example, to illustrate that there is a fun day in the outdoors after a handicap. Our volunteers enjoy assisting these folks in their fishing endeavors and enjoy cooking hamburgers and hot dogs for all.

We hold our Trophy and Fundraising Banquet in March, at the Whitevalley Community Centre.

Early in the year we hold a fishing derby at Mabel Lake Provincial Park which, for several years in a row this has sold out. We even fill the overflow camping area of the park.

During Lumby Days we host a Gun and Antique Show at the Pat Duke Arena. Vendors from all over B.C. and Alberta show and sell their wares. This years event will be held on Saturday June 15, and Sunday June 16, set up is June 14.
